4 to 5 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil

Salt, to taste

2 garlic cloves

1 pound ahi tuna fillets, or other high-quality fresh tuna fillets

Freshly ground pepper, to taste

1 1/2 pounds mixed-color heirloom tomatoes

2 to 3 tablespoons green olive paste, or green olive-based tapenade
