Ingredients for 4 servings

1 small onion , minced

2 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto or lean bacon or black forest ham, finely chopped (if using bacon, blanch it first in boiling water for a few minutes, then rinse and drain)

2 cups spaghetti in tomato sauce

1/4 lb white mushroom , thinly sliced

salt & freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

8 large eggs , lightly beaten

1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 garlic clove , finely chopped
