I made this recipe for 1 lb of fresh salmon without any salt and only 1/3 of the original recipe. It was a great hit! And I had leftover seasoning for another pound of fish. (I'll probably leave out quite so much thyme next time.)

I made this and just didn't like the blend of seasoning. The taste was all on the surface of the fish and the inside of the fish was bland.

I highly recommend this recipe, except cut the ingredients by 1/4. The recipe calls for 1/3 cup of salt and after seeing how much 1/3 cup of salt looked like I decided to remove half of it. Likewise, for the rest of the ingredients I cut it by half. Even after I combined all the spices together I ended only using half of it because it covered the salmon fillets quite generously already. I was afraid that it would be too be spiced out but it was perfect!!!

This rub calls for waaay too much salt. It ruined my salmon.

Hate it! Maybe I rubbed on too many spices, but then again made approx 2 lbs of the stuff! Used up all my spices and have about a pound of the stuff leftover.

2 salmon fillets

1/3 cup Kosher salt

¼ cup chili powder

¼ cup paprika

2 tablespoons garlic powder

1 tablespoon cayenne

2 tablespoons coriander

1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons dried thyme

3 -4 tablespoons olive oil
