1 tablespoon light corn syrup

1/3 cup water

1/2 cup chestnut honey

1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter

3 cups sliced blanched almonds ( 3/4 pound)

2/3 cup finely diced candied orange rind ( 1/4 pound)

3/4 pound bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
