1 medium onion , chopped

½ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon curry powder

½ cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 garlic clove, minced

1 medium Granny Smith apple , cored and chopped
