Ingredients for 4 servings

1/4 cup pine nuts (lightly toasted)

1/8 cabbage , finely shredded

1 red capsicum , finely diced (pepper)

1 teaspoon salt

2 carrots , grated

1/2 cup couscous

1 pinch cayenne or paprika

1 teaspoon gingerroot , grated

1 teaspoon curry powder (garam masala is good)

1 pinch clove

500 g lean ground beef or minced chicken or ground lamb

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg , grated

2 garlic cloves , crushed

1/2 cup orange juice (or 1-2 oranges juiced)

1 teaspoon turmeric

1 onion , finely chopped

1 teaspoon cumin

1/4 cup boiling water (or more)

1 tablespoon oil

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground cardamom

2 teaspoons cracked black pepper

1/4 cup slivered almond (lightly toasted, or substitute with crushed nuts)

1/2 cup raisins
