The sauce:

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce

2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 teaspoons unseasoned rice vinegar

1 tablespoon brown sugar

The stir-fry:

2 teaspoons olive oil

1 pound flank steak, sliced thin into bite-size pieces for stir-fry

Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste

1 pound asparagus, ends trimmed and cut into diagonal 1/2-inch lengths

1 cup roasted, unsalted cashews
