1/8 tsp. ground cloves

1/8 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg

Pinch of salt

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 Tbs. double-acting baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 cup milk

1/2 cup sour cream

2 eggs

2 Tbs. dark rum

1 tsp. vanilla extract
