This was fantastic! I used anchovy paste instead since I'm not found of fish and ya know what it worked very well. I made this and my roommate made stuffed green peppers with ground beef, tomatoes, mushrooms and ground beef topped with mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients for 8 servings

3 whole cloves of garlic, crushed

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/2 sourdough baguette, cut into 1/2 cubes (about 1 1/2 cups)

1 tin anchovy fillets in olive oil (2 oz)

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

3 tablespoons Champagne vinegar

Juice of 1 large lemon (about 2 tablespoons)

4 heads of Little Gem or small romaine lettuce, sliced in half

1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving

Freshly ground black pepper

Maldon or flaked sea salt for finishing
