Make it easier on yourself. Make the cheese and add the crumbled bacon. You can do this a couple days before or 2 hrs before. Forget making them hot. Put the cheese spread out at room temp. All cheeses taste better room temp. Pull out of your refrigerator a couple hours before serving. Serve with crostini's,crackers or my favorite to serve this yummy pimento cheese with is PRETZELS!

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups shredded extra-sharp white cheddar cheese

2 1/2 cups shredded extra-sharp orange cheddar cheese

One 7-ounce jar pimientos, drained and finely chopped

3/4 cup mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

cayenne pepper

40 slices baguette, toasted

4 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
