I really like the cheese to basil proportion in this recipe...so many are too much of one or the other. :) And walnuts work as a good & much less expensive sub to pine nuts.

Basil season has begun. This year I swear I'm going to make fresh pesto and freeze it. Every year I think I'm going to do it, but this year I really am. Oh, handy freezing tip for your sauces and such. Ice cube trays, covered with saran wrap. Getting different colored trays is never a bad option...just in case you aren't paying attention you could accidentally drop a cube of chicken stock into your gin
