4 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 cup milk or water (or more depending on how thick you want the "sauce")

1 (8 count) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

1/2 cup chopped onion

2-3 potatoes , peeled and cut into bite size pieces

2 lbs ground beef

3-4 fresh carrots , cleaned and sliced

1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas

4 tablespoons flour

16 ounces Velveeta cheese , cut up (or more if you like lots of cheese)

1 teaspoon salt
