1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

2 oz. red food colouring (I used two bottles, which I think were 1 oz. each)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs, room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup buttermilk, room temperature

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 teaspoon baking soda

16 oz. cream cheese (2 packages), softened

2 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted

pinch of salt
