For the dough:

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 tablespoons cold butter, diced

1 egg, beaten

3 tablespoons milk

For the icing:

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
