1 tsp olive oil, more as needed

3 x cloves garlic, chopped or pressed (about 1 tbs)

3-4 x green onions, chopped (about 2 tbs)—you can also use red or yellow onions, or shallots

4 tbsp balsamic vinegar (increase according to how much squash you have/how tangy you like it)

½ tsp brown sugar

0 pinch red pepper flakes

salt to taste (1/2 tsp to 1 tsp)
