1 cup powdered biscuit mix (or all-purpose flour can be substituted)

1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder

2 to 3 slices bacon, diced

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil (not all may be needed)

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon paprika

4 to 6 boneless duck breasts, 3/4-inch cubed (this recipe also works with pheasant, doves, goose or chicken

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Salt and pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
