50 g green gram (split)

1 teaspoon oatmeal

1/4 teaspoon asafetida powder

4-6 curry leaves

2 teaspoons vegetable oil, for tempering

1/4 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon ginger , grated

1 teaspoon cumin seed

salt , to taste

2 teaspoons wheat germ

50 g white rice

1 teaspoon garlic , chopped

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped mixed herbs (coriander leaves, mint leaves, celery, parsley and basil)
