2 Tbsp butter

1.5 cups (12 oz.) seasoning mix (onion, bell pepper, celery)

1.5 cups wild rice mix

1 cup long grain rice

5 cups water, divided

1 Tbsp chicken base/bouillon

3 sprigs fresh thyme

1/3 cup dried cranberries

1/3 cup chopped walnuts

to taste salt and pepper
