1/4 cup warm water

2 cups (9 oz/256 g) all-purpose flour, plus a little more for kneading and rolling out.

2 tablespoons canola oil, plus a little more to oil the bowl

1/3-1/2 cup milk, room temperature

1 (1/4 lb) stick of butter, chilled

1 egg, lightly beaten with 1 teaspoon of water (for eggwash)
