2 tablespoons butter

1 large apple - peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch wedges

3 tablespoons minced red onion

2 teaspoons finely minced fresh rosemary

1/2 cup dark rum

1/2 cup apple cider

salt and pepper to taste
