1 cup fresh spinach or frozen spinach , chopped

1 large sweet red pepper, seeded and diced

1 large green pepper , seeded and diced

1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

1/4 cup freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese or grated parmesan cheese

2 stalks celery , chopped,include leaves

2 medium potatoes , peeled and cubed 1/2 inch

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

4 cups vegetable stock or chicken broth

19 fluid ounces red kidney beans , drained

1 large onion , chopped coarse

1 large carrot , peeled and sliced

1 cup fresh green beans , cut diagonally into 1/2 inch lengths

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons dried dill weed or 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill

2 cups thinly sliced white cabbage
