Ingredients for 6 servings

3 fat garlic cloves , shredded

4.0 tbsp vegetable oil or sunflower oil

3 plump green chillies , halved lengthways (leave in some or all of the seeds if you like a hot curry)

3.0 tbsp chopped coriander , to serve

2.0 tbsp tomato purée

2 large peppers , one red and one yellow or orange, seeded and cut into rough chunks

½ tsp garam masala

12 large chicken thighs , bone in

½ tsp turmeric

2.0 tsp paprika

2 medium onions , sliced

2.0 tsp cumin seeds

3 cm piece of fresh root ginger , peeled and shredded

250 ml tub natural yogurt
