Ingredients for 8 servings

olive oil

2 teaspoons chili powder

pepper

1 (14 ounce) can black beans , drained and rinsed

salt , to taste

1 (14 ounce) can red kidney beans , drained and rinsed

2 medium onions

1/2 (12 ounce) bottle beer (the darker the better)

1 garlic clove

1/2 cinnamon stick

1 lb chuck, coarsely minced in food processer

2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes

1 teaspoon ground cumin (or crushed cumin seeds)

2 chipotle chiles in adobo (freeze the remaining chiles from the can)

7 ounces sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil
