1/2 onion , finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

3 garlic cloves , chopped

3 tablespoons oil

5 indian bay leaves

2/3 cup water or coconut milk

1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon chili powder
