Ingredients

1 1/3 cups honey (1-lb. jar)

1 cup butter or margarine

2 eggs

4 1/2 cups flour

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1 can (1 lb.) apricot halves, pureed in blender or sieved

2 cups chopped natural (unblanched) almonds

4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

1 Tbs. anise seeds

1 1/2 cups seedless raisins

1 cup mixed green and red candied cherries

Marsala Sauce (recipe follows)
