Ingredients for 4 servings

1 tablespoon coarsely chopped garlic

1 1/2 cups tomatoes , chopped in 1 inch pieces

3 tablespoons fish sauce

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1/4 lb ground pork or chopped chicken

black pepper

1 cup fresh Thai basil , and buds

2 tablespoons sugar

3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon chopped Thai chile (Less if you don't like it hot)

3 cups dried wide egg noodles, 1/2 inch wide, soaked until tender then drained
