Ingredients for 4 servings

Steen's cane syrup molasses, to taste

4 (10-12 ounce) veal chops

Salt and pepper

2 1/2 tablespoons paprika

1 1/2 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons brunoise red peppers

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

Oil

1 cup fried parsnip strips (optional)

1 tablespoon dried oregano

2 tablespoons chopped carrot

1 cup small dice sweet potatoes, peeled

1/2 cup toasted pecans

2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Essence, recipe follows

1 tablespoon black pepper

2 tablespoons garlic powder

2 tablespoons chopped celery

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 tablespoons salt

1 tablespoon dried thyme

1 quart dark chicken stock

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 cup mashed potatoes, hot (your favorite recipe)
