1 pinch sugar

5 tablespoons fresh orange juice

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

2 navel oranges

1/4 preserved lemon, diced (optional)

1/2 cup kalamata olives, halved

1 head romaine lettuce

salt and pepper to taste

6 meyer lemons

1/2 cup kosher salt

1 tablespoon cardamon pods

2-3 bay leaves

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, more if needed
