3 Tablespoons oil

1 15-oz. can tomato sauce, plus 1 can water

1 28-oz. can tomatoes

2 to 3 Tablespoons chili powder

3 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon garlic salt

2 Tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper, or to taste

1 15-oz. can kidney beans

1 cup fresh sliced mushrooms

*green olives, sliced (optional)
