Ingredients for 5 servings

1 medium sized cauliflower

12 heaped tbsp cornflour

3 heaped tbsp plain flour

1/2 tsp salt

Approx 1 cup of water

3 onions diced

4 garlic cloves ground to a paste

6 tbsp ketchup

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tsp ginger

1 green pepper sliced

1 tsp of chilli powder (adjust to taste)

Preparation

1.

Cut cauliflower into small bite-sized chunks. Wash and leave to dry

2.

Place cornflour, plain flour and salt in a bowl

3.

Add water until the batter is a thick, sticky texture but still fluid

4.

Dip each cauliflower chunk in the batter and deep until lightly brown

5.

Combine ketchup, soy sauce and chilli powder in a bowl

6.

Fry the onions until lightly brown then add in the garlic and ginger on medium flame

7.

Add green peppers and fry on a high flame

8.

Add the sauce

9.

Then mix in the cauliflower chunks
