This recipe is horrible! There is no detail on how to arrange the apples or how much of a border to leave around the pastry. There is also no direction on exactly how much of the apricot mixture to brush on top. Then, my apples released water during baking, which when combined with possibly too much apricot jam, made the puff pastry soggy and not rise at all. Next time I'll stick with a recipe that has clearer instructions and not waste my time.
