Ingredients for 4 servings

6 cups bottled water

1/4-1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

4 scallions , diced (white separated from green)

lime juice , fresh (optional)

noodles (optional)

10 medium mushrooms , large dice (remove stems, I use white or brown button)

steamed rice (optional)

2 1/2 cups green cabbage , thinly shredded, packed

3-4 shrimp bouillon cubes (I use Knorr)

16 ounces fish balls (** I use shrimp & cod) or imitation crabmeat

10 ounces baby corn, large dice

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
