1 cup green bell pepper , diced

1 ounce unsweetened baking chocolate (1 square)

2 lbs ground beef

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 chipotle chile in adobo , finely diced (from can, with 1 tbsp. adobo sauce)

3 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon sugar

3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeds and membranes removed, finely diced

1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans in chili sauce

2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes

1 serrano chili , seeds and membranes removed, finely diced

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
