Sorry that this didn't come out perfectly. The trick to getting the right texture is blending it in the processor until the ricotta mixture is smooth. This will take longer with some ricotta cheeses than others. Standard supermarket ricotta, for example, needs to practically be whipped to get rid if that grittiness. Use your fingers or taste to test the texture before putting the ice cream base in the ice cream machine. Hope that helps!!

1 1/2 cup milk (it can be reduced fat)

1 1/2 cup ricotta (it can be part skim)

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

3/4 tsp ground cinnamon

3/4 tsp fresh lemon juice

1/8 tsp orange zest

3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
