I made this and added espresso chocolate chunks, and 2 tbsp whiskey. If I make it again, I will add the 3rd tbsp, as I found the flavor a little lacking. But not bad if you were going to serve hot out the oven with some vanilla bean ice cream.

½ cup butter, melted

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 large egg

2-3 Tbsp. bourbon or whiskey

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup all-purpose flour

¼ tsp. salt

½ cup chopped chocolate chunks or chips (optional)

½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
