4 dried ancho chiles

1 quart boiling water

4 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup minced onion

2 sweet potatoes, peeled and boiled until tender

2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup

1/4 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup golden raisins

1/2 cup toasted pecans or walnuts, broken into pieces + 4 pecan halves for garnish

1 cup sour cream
