1/4 cup molasses (I use Grandma’s brand)

2 Tbs. granulated sugar

1-3/4 oz. (1/3 cup) yellow cornmeal

3 lb. prune plums (about 40), halved and pitted

2 Tbs. unsalted butter

2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

1 Tbs. cornstarch

1/2 cup sour cream

2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
