8 ounces broccoli florets and stems, cut into marble-size pieces

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, well drained

3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded provolone cheese

red-pepper flakes
