2 cinnamon sticks

1 pound dried spaghetti

1 teaspoon whole cloves

1 teaspoon whole allspice

2½ pounds finely ground lean beef such as sirloin (see Note)

1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
