1 carrot , juliened

1 chicken bouillon cube , diluted into

3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chicken broth

1 teaspoon asian garlic and red chile paste

1 shallot , minced

soy sauce , to taste

3-5 dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked in enough hot water to cover, then thinly sliced

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

optional

fish sauce , to taste

1 teaspoon fish sauce

2 heads baby bok choy , sliced

1 cup water

Broth

1 lb ground chicken breast

fresh ground black pepper , to taste

1 teaspoon chili-garlic sauce, for heat (optional)
