4 green onions , chopped (white and pale green parts)

6 small acorn squash , halved and seeds removed

1 cup uncooked wild rice , rinsed (genuine Ojibwa if possible)

1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

6 cups water

1 cup uncooked quinoa , rinsed

salt

1/2-3/4 cup fresh orange juice

2 teaspoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon dried sage
