1 (4-lb) piece watermelon, rind discarded and flesh cut into large chunks (7 cup)

1½ cup ice cubes

¾ cup whole blanched almonds

3 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped

8 slice firm white sandwich bread, crusts discarded and bread torn into pieces

2 Tbsp red-wine vinegar

2 tsp kosher salt

¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
