Ingredients for 4 servings

2 tablespoons jasmine rice (any type of white rice will work though)

1 tablespoons vegetable or coconut oil

4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

1 pound ground pork

1 tablespoon sugar or honey

3 Thai chile peppers, thinly sliced (or substitute serrano)

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

3 tablespoons fish sauce

1 large shallot, thinly sliced

1 cup finely chopped green beans

1 cup roughly chopped basil, cilantro, and/or mint leaves (preferably all 3)

1 head Boston or Bibb lettuce, leaves separated
