1/4 cup lemon juice

2 tablespoons whole grain mustard

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

-- Ground black pepper, to taste

The vegetables:

1 small head cauliflower, cut into small florets (about 2 - 2 1/2 cups)

1/4 cup olive oil

-- Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, stem ends trimmed and thinly sliced or shaved

1 small red onion, halved and feathered, or cut into very thin slices

-- Lemon juice, to taste
