  • 1/2 lb bacon, diced
  • 1 large yellow onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 large carrot, peeled, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 stalk celery with greens, chopped
  • Kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and pressed
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsps ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 heaping Tbsp palm sugar
  • 3 dried chipotle chilies, stemmed, seeded and reconstituted in boiling water for 15 minutes
  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 5 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsps SCHARFFEN BERGER Natural Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp ground wattleseed
  • 2 Tbsps fresh pomegranate seeds
  • 1 oz. SCHARFFEN BERGER 82% cacao extra dark chocolate, grated
