¾ cup chopped carrots

½ tsp. dried thyme

½ tsp. dried sage

½ cup white wine

½ cup chicken broth

1 28 oz. can whole plum tomatoes, drained

Zest of one orange

Chopped fresh sage (optional)

Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
