1 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks or 8 ounces) unsalted butter, cut into parts

1 large egg

2 tablespoons (1 ounce) milk

1 additional large egg (to brush on pastry)

½ cup (3 ¾ ounces) brown sugar

1 to 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon, to taste

4 teaspoons all-purpose flour

1 large egg, to brush on pastry before filling

Any fruit jelly
