Good recipe but next time I will reduce salt and add sugar. I like my cornbread on the sweet side and this was more on the salty side.

1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/4 teaspoons coarse salt

1 large egg

1 3/4 cups buttermilk

4 tablespoons unsalted butter
