I love the simplicity of this recipe. I didn't have scallions on hand so I used fresh cilantro and they turned out perfectly! What I liked most was cutting the dough into squares instead of using a biscuit cutter - less handling and no waste! The hubby loved them so I will definitely make them again. Thank you!

Ingredients for 16 servings

2 cups + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

dash cayenne

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 teaspoons baking powder

7 tablespoons butter, cold

2 scallions, finely chopped

3 oz. grated Parmesan cheese

3/4 cup buttermilk

Kosher, Maldon, or Black salt for topping (optional; not table/iodized salt)
