3 firm fuyu persimmons , peeled and chopped (3 cups)

1 2/3 cups sugar

1/2 cup butter , softened

2 teaspoons baking soda

2 eggs

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3/4 cup raisins (I used golden)

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon salt

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup chopped walnuts (I used pecans)
